Chuck Drake, Ph.D.

President

Dr. Drake has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education: Human Development from North Dakota State University. He is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors and is licensed in North Dakota as an Addiction Counselor and Professional Clinical Counselor. Dr. Drake is an adjunct faculty member at North Dakota State University.

Teri Vareberg

Vice President/Administrative Director

Teri has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 1999. She maintains her office in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and currently lives in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with her husband, Randy.

Fargo Office

Dr. Barrie March, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. March received his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. March recently retired from being an internal medicine physician with MeritCare Medical Group. Dr. March is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and has been active in the field of addiction medicine for the past ten years.

Dr. Jack Lind, M.D.

Psychiatric Consultant

In addition to his consultative services, Dr. Lind is currently in private practice in Fargo, North Dakota. He is professionally affiliated with the American Medical Association, the North Dakota Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the North Dakota Psychiatric Society. Dr. Lind has a long history in the field of addiction medicine.

Charlyne Walen, M.ED.

Clinical Director of Adult Services

Charlyne received her Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from North Dakota State University. She is licensed as an Addiction Counselor in North Dakota and as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Minnesota. She has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. for a total of 6 years.

Jim Symons, BSW

Adult Treatment Services Provider

Jim received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota. Jim is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Licensed Social Worker. Jim has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2002.

Maronda Robertson, M.ED.

Adult Treatment Services Provider

Maronda received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Maronda is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in North Dakota. She is also licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Minnesota. Maronda has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2007.

Karisa Meyhuber

Adult Family Counseling Provider

Karisa is completing her Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at North Dakota State University. Karisa has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2009.

Director of Adolescent Services

Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from North Dakota State University. Jennifer is a Licensed Addiction Counselor in North Dakota. Jennifer has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2007.

Jessie Brown, M.ED.

Adolescent Counseling Provider

Jessie received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from North Dakota State University. Jessie has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2009.

Rachel Daigle, M.S.

Adolescent Family Counseling Services Provider

Rachel received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from North Dakota State University. Rachel has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2010.

Sheila Kapaun

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Minnesota

Drake Counseling Services, Inc. contracts with the West Central Detention Center in Moorhead, Minnesota to provide addiction treatment services to its adolescent population. Sheila provides the adolescent addiction treatment services at WCDC. Sheila has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2006.

Janelle Miedema, MSW

Outpatient Mental Health Services Provider

Janelle received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota. Janelle is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She is a graduate faculty member for the University of Minnesota MSW Distance Education Program. Janelle has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2006.

Lori Pearson

Licensed Special Education Teacher with the Fargo Public School System

Lori has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. Lori provides educational services to adolescents receiving addiction treatment services at Drake Counseling Services, Inc., Fargo. Lori has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2003.

Adolescent Case Manager

Jennifer attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, majoring in social work. Jennifer has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 1998.

Mary brings experience in billing and customer service to Drake Counseling Services, Inc. Mary has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 1996.

Ashley has her Bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Ashley has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2009.

Gretchen has her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been with Drake Counseling Services, Inc. since 2008
