This program provides a safe, supportive, and structured learning enviornment between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The length of time spent in PHP varies from three to five weeks depending on individual needs and progress. Drake Counseling Services contracts with Fargo Public Schools to provide a licensed teacher to assist clients with their individual educational needs. School work comes directly from the students' home school during this period, allowing them to get caught up and to remain on track with their education. The adolescents in PHP also participate in group therapy for approximately two hours each day. A morning check-in time, recreation activity, and lunch is provided to each student at no additional cost. Individual family therapy sessions are provided to the adolescent and their families during the duration of the program.
